I tend not to sit still for too long, and as such have picked up a multitude of hobbies over the years. Some trend towards creative, and others are just for fun!
Photography
I find that photography has helped me be more observant of the work around me, always not he hunt for interesting compositions. These days I tend to shoot on Fujifilm for its small size and tactile shooting experience.
Crafts'n'stuff
Since most of my work is digital I've started to pursue using my industrial design skills on the side. Occasionally I'll see a need for something physical and end up spending the next month covered in sawdust.
Themed Jewelry Box & Cosplay Pistol
This jewelry box and prop combo was a gift based on the anime Full Metal Alchemist. In the show there's a character, Hawkeye, who's (predictably) known for her marksmanship skills and also for saving her commanding officer's butt on multiple occasions. This jewelry box was designed to be a something one might find in the character's apartment—serving as an everyday cosplay item
Custom Laptop Stand
Finding my desk at work limited on space (mostly due to having too many legos on it) I decided to build a laptop stand out of bent plywood. The final piece not only elevates my laptop perfectly over the desk shelf, but it also hides the cables and outlets the desk uses for power.
Just the usual
When I'm not falling down a more specific rabbit-hole of a hobby, I tend to fall back on my baseline hobbies: hiking, 'sploring, motorcycling, and lifting heavy stuff only to put it back down.
